May 30, 2020 - Top 10 Finish in Davenport Speedway Doubleheader

On Friday afternoon Brian Birkhofer returned with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) for the doubleheader at the facility that offers a quarter-mile oval inside of the half-mile oval. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Birkhofer posted a second place finish in his heat behind Chris Simpson. Earning the fifth-starting position for the A-Main via the redraw, Brian dropped five spots in the 30-lap affair to register a 10th place finish.

Returning on Saturday evening on the half-mile, Brian posted a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win finale. After running as high as fifth in the early going, Birkhofer faded late following a restart on lap-27 to place 19th.

May 23, 2020 - Rauen Returns to Racing with World of Outlaws at Jackson Motorplex

After more than a two-month hiatus due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Jason Rauen returned to action on Friday evening at Jackson Motorplex (Jackson, Mn.) for the Drydene Double Down Invitational. Drawing 26 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries for the two-day event, Rauen laid down the sixth fastest lap overall in time trials before coming in fourth in his heat. Dropping six spots in the 30-lap feature, Jason logged an 18th place outing.

The following night for the $20,000-to-win finale, Jason secured his spot into the main event with a fourth place finish in his heat. Starting in 13th, Rauen got collected with the wall on lap 40 that saw him retire immediately from the 60-lapper.
