With the field inflated to 62 entries on Friday afternoon, Landers laid down the second fastest lap in his time trial group behind Jonathan Davenport before picking up an eight-lap heat race victory. Earning the pole position for the main event, Jared faded back to place 12th after making contact with the wall early in the 30-lapper.

1The following night, Landers edged his way into the main event with a third place finish in his heat race. With $5,000 on the line, Jared pulled off early from the 40-lap affair on lap 21. (Tom Macht photos)

For the 15th annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout finale on Sunday, Jared came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place outing, sending him into the B-Main. Scoring a second place finish behind Chris Simpson, Landers locked into the 19th-starting position for the $25,000-to-win finale. Looking for his best finish in the six-day mini-series, Jared was working forward until he was caught in a tangle following a mid-race restart that brought a disappointing end to his weekend.
