Making his first start of the season with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Jason Rauen trekked to Beaver Dam Raceway (Beaver Dam, Wis.) on Wednesday afternoon for the eighth round of the Hell Tour. In a field of 22 cars, Rauen followed up the 11th fastest time in his group with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Losing one spot in the 40-lap feature, Jason logged a 12th-place finish.
Returning to action on Friday, Jason visited 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned contest. After timing in fifth fastest overall, Rauen posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Mason Oberkramer, which positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. He was one of nine cars that failed to complete all 40 laps. (Mike Ruefer photo)
